Frugal Fashion Redux: Lipstick Jungle's Victory Ford

I loved the show Lipstick Jungle while it was on the air. It was very refreshing to see women that represented power and authority so effortlessly, while maintaining their feminine charm. The set design, and fashion were equally appealing.  One of my favorite Lipstick Jungle characters, was Victory Ford. I coveted most of her ensembles, but I couldn't bring myself to entertain some of the price tags that went along with it. Which is why I feel compelled to compile another frugal redux of one of my favorite outfits.

Sex and The City is Back! Frugal Take on Carrie's First Outfit

Recently, Sarah Jessica Parker, otherwise known as, Carrie Bradshaw, has been spotted galavanting around town in a plain white dress and metallic, glittery gold Louboutins. That's right, Sex and This City (my favorite show of all time) is back! Filming for the second theatrical installment is underway in NYC, as we speak.

Fashion Week Freebies, and Frugal Festivities. Oh my! (Fashion's Night Out - a Global event)

There are times when I become completely envious of those frugalistas to the north of me, namely the NYC frugalistas. This is one of those times.  Fashion week is coming to New York in a matter of days, and there is no shortage of frugal fare to partake in, for those living close by.  If you live near New York City, or you're going to be visiting, don't miss out on the events surrounding Fashion's Night Out on September 10th. These events will include: free samples, free food, free liqueur (for those of age), free makeovers, free haircuts, free t-shirts, celebrity sightings, meet-and-greets with your favorite designers and industry taste makers, the list goes on.

Get your free pass to see "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas," on October 28, 2008 from F.I.L.M. (Finding Inspiration in Literature and Movies). This free event is provided by Heartland Truly Moving Pictures and Miramax Films. You can get a movie guide from their site, here to learn more about the movie.

To get a pass from F.I.L.M. You will need to email them and follow the instructions detailed on their site here. Chances are that the offer may be expired, since it appears they have been publicizing for awhile and they were giving away group passes (10 at a time) as of 10/17/08. Atlanta is one city that I know of, that has passes still available. You can sign up with a direct link without waiting for an email or RSVP code, after the jump (V.I.P. only due to limited supply).
